This podcast is a phenomenal tale of caution, political intrigue, action, and more. It is shocking, without diving into the unecesarily obscene. This story makes the listener wonder so many things about our realities…

Review of The Dex Legacy Collected Scripts & Commentary by Tim Hardie for Page Chewing
“This book is an unusual one. Normally with book reviews, the book is the thing I’m reviewing but I’m finding that hard to do in isolation here, because this literary creation exists as part of a much wider interconnected web of short stories, ever-expanding audio-drama episodes and forthcoming novels. In my opinion, to fully appreciate Emily Inkpen’s book you really do need to experience the audio version of the show…”
FanFi Addict - an Interview About the Making of Season 2 of The Dex Legacy with Frasier Armitage
“Join FanFiAddict's Frasier Armitage and author Emily Inkpen for a chat about season two of the sci-fi audio drama The Dex Legacy, the success of its Kickstarter, making season one vs. season two, working with voice actors, keeping track of numerous characters, imagining an audio drama while writing, Dex Legacy merch and more...”

Dex Legacy Prequel Story - The Dark - Included in the Learning to be Human Anthology by Flame Tree Press
With stories from open submissions and classic tales we examine the interplay between automation, humankind, and what it is to be human. The stories encourage us to think of human and machine development in the same terms. What is it like to emerge from childhood as an adult? What was it like to be at the mercy of elemental forces in ancient times? Are we truly in control of our climate now? Are machines the future, or a dangerous distraction? Are thinking machines inevitable? There's so much to explore in this fascinating new book…

FanFi Addict Season 1 Interview - with Frasier Armitage
Could you tell us a little bit about the show? If you had to sum it up in a few words, what would they be?
Twisty, dark and relentless… and hopefully intriguing and a bit addictive too.
FanFiAddict - Review - The Dex Legacy
The first thing that struck me as I listened to these episodes was just how deep this world goes. There’s an immersive richness to the backdrop, environment, and politics of planet SP714 which pulled me in right from episode one. The stage on which this story takes place possesses layers upon layers upon layers, all just waiting to be discovered. It feels lived in. It feels real. It’s amazing.
The First Episode Of… Podcast
Writer Emily Inkpen and Producer Chris Gregory talk about their grimdark political sci-fi The Dex Legacy, war as a business, managing world building, the power of sci-fi, and our love for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Episode 42 - Emily Inkpen Interview
This episode I spoke to Emily Inkpen about her new scifi audio drama! She talks about the submission process, submission tips, and what makes your genre writing stand out. We had a great conversation for our last interview of February She Wrote.
Author Focus - Tim Hardy reviews The Dex Legacy
Emily Inkpen is a skilful writer with a vivid imagination. She paints stories using a vast canvas but they’re driven by her characters and their interactions. Whilst likeable, Varian, Ren and Isra are also complex, damaged, ruthless and violent. They’re a product of the world they’ve been born into and, crucially, they also represent Dex Industries’ cutting-edge military technology. Whilst these stories feature action and adventure, they don’t shy away from the consequences of war and violence. This is dark edged sci-fi and it leaves you with something to think about afterwards.
